BBO U12s & Hub Centre’s
The Counties mission is to develop a network of Hub Centre’s that prepare young golfers in all disciplines to be able to compete at the very highest standard of amateur golf. The Hub Centre’s are the first stage of the BB&O Performance pyramid and we look to attract golfers U12 on 1st January who have a passion to improve their golf to apply to become a Scholar.
In addition to Hub Centre’s we offer competitive playing opportunities for U12 (as young as 8) in either the Development Tour for boys who have a handicap of 24.5 or higher. For boys who have handicaps of 24.4 or under we have The Futures Tour. More details on both Tours can be found clicking here.
What is a Hub Centre?
Bradfield College is now an affiliated golf club that has been approved by BB&O Golf because of its excellent facilities, location and environment that enables junior golf to flourish. A Hub Centre has at least one PGA Coach attached to it who can provide expert tuition and has a previous track record of producing talent particularly in the U12 age group.
To become a scholar, you must fit the criteria detailed below.
Aged between 8 – 11 (U12 on 1st January)
Must be able to demonstrate competent golfing ability
An official CONGU handicap is not essential
Must be a home member of a BB&O affiliated golf club
Must not be registered in any other BB&O Performance Squad
